Sport For Confidence is proud to have been announced as a shortlisted finalist by ukactive, the physical activity sector’s official, not-for-profit, trade association.
Hundreds of entries were received for awards across 11 categories, all aimed at highlighting excellence and innovation in health, wellbeing and fitness.
Sport For Confidence, in partnership with Everyone Active’s Basildon Sporting Village, has been announced as a finalist in the Inclusion and Disability category, for the evidenced success of the Sport For Confidence programme now running at multiple leisure centres in Essex and Waltham Forest.
Speaking about the award, Lyndsey Barrett, Founder and Occupational Therapist at Sport For Confidence, says: “It is amazing to have our achievements recognised by ukactive. We are all incredibly excited to be in the mix for such a prestigious award and looking forward to attending the event on June 21.
Lyndsey and the team will now head to Judges House on May 15. Here they will face a carefully selected panel of industry experts who will ask for more detail to substantiate the written award submission. There will also be an opportunity to meet and network with other finalists.
The awards ceremony will take place at Manchester Central on the evening of June 21, forming part of ukactive’s newly-launched 4-day Active Uprising event. Winners will be announced on the evening. Keep an eye on our twitter feed to hear how we get on!
