Sport For Confidence has publicly declared its commitment to supporting the mental wellbeing of its growing team of employees by becoming one of the first companies to sign The Good Work Pledge.

Launched in March this year, The Good Work Pledge, backed by The Chartered Institute for The Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), unites employers working in fitness and active leisure, behind an ambition to shine a light on employee mental health and work towards a happier, healthier more prosperous future for all.

Natasha Di Carlo, Sport for Confidence Human Resource Manager, says: “ Earlier this year, a survey of more than 1,100 individuals working in fitness and active leisure found 53% of respondents have experienced a mental health issue in the last 12 months. It also found, stigma attached to mental health is preventing honest conversations around the subject in the workplace, which is negatively affecting behaviours. We recognise our team is our biggest asset and have committed to continuing to develop our processes and procedures to support their mental as well as their physical wellbeing.”
