The partnership launched in July 2020 and supports Sport For Confidence’s ambition to extend its reach, engaging more vulnerable adults and marginalised groups in physical activity.

Speaking of the partnership, Lyndsey Barrett, Director at SFC says: “Over the last five years we have extended our services from 1 client to more than 1,000, delivering physical activity sessions at multiple leisure centres across Essex and London. Whilst this is fantastic growth, there is so much more to be done. This investment will support our ambition to continue to grow, breaking down barriers to ensure ‘Everyone Gets to Play’”.

Sporting Capital is committed to investing in organisations that make a difference by developing people and communities through sport. Jemma Leathley, Investment Manager at Sporting Capital, says: “The Sport for Confidence business model is ground-breaking and we are pleased to have been able to provide investment that will enable them to grow and support many more people to become more active, gain confidence and independence.”
