TSport For Confidence has announced it’s whole-hearted backing of National Inclusion Week, running September 27 – October 3, 2021.

Now in its nineth year, the campaign, owned and managed by Inclusive Employers, raises awareness of a need for inclusion in the workplace. The theme for this year is ‘United For Inclusion’ and is focused on bringing people and organisations together to share learning and best practice to make inclusion an everyday reality.

Natasha Di Carlo, HR Manager, Sport For Confidence, says: “Our day to day work, delivering inclusive sports programmes to those who face barriers to participation, highlights just how wonderfully diverse our community is. Every day we are reminded how much we can learn by embracing the experience and perspective of others and this extends into our working practice. We are acutely aware that so much more can be achieved through the adoption of an inclusive approach both in terms of our own organisation and the many partnerships we nurture with other organisations and individuals. This is a fantastic campaign and we are very proud to be a part of it.”

Last year, over 2000 organisations took part in National Inclusion Week, combining activities with more than 16 million people using #NationalInclusionWeek2020. This year our actions and activities will spread the message that we are all #UnitedForInclusion.

Rupert Moyne, Managing Director, Corporate Services, Inclusive Employers, says: “I’m delighted Sport For Confidence is joining employers around the world by taking part in National Inclusion Week 2021.

“The last year has really brought the need for inclusion into sharp focus. Many of us have spent the past twelve months working remotely and I therefore hope that United For Inclusion, the 2021 theme of National Inclusion Week, brings us closer to our colleagues and other organisations as we together celebrate, share and inspire inclusion practices.

“One area of focus for us during National Inclusion Week 2021 will be to inspire unity and action for anti-racism. We will be launching an anti-racist toolkit during this year’s Inclusion Week.

“Sport For Confidence’s involvement in National Inclusion Week shows they take building an inclusive workplace seriously and I welcome their commitment to do so.”

Jake Turner, Operations Director, Sport For Confidence is also committed to the Inclusive Leaders Programme, a component of Sport England’s Leading For Renewal Programme. The Programme, delivered by Inclusive Employers, is designed to help new and existing leaders to understand what inclusion means for them and their organisation, and help them shape their future strategy
