We are delighted to announce that Jake Turner, currently Positive Behaviour Support Specialist, has been promoted to Operations Manager.
In his new role, Jake will be responsible for the recruitment , on-boarding and going support of the growing field staff team. He will also manage third party partner relationships, ensuring the smooth running of the day to day operation across multiple sites.
In addition, Jake will also continue to personally deliver and develop the Sport For Confidence programme at Witham Leisure Centre, Essex, working alongside a sports coach and the leisure centre staff team.
Speaking of his promotion, Jake says: “When I started working with Sport For Confidence just over two years ago, the programme was being delivered in just two leisure centres. Today we have 9 locations across Essex and North London with ambitions to increase this steadily over the next five years.
“The programme, which offers sporting opportunities to individuals who face barriers to participation, is now delivering more than 1,500 interventions every month. My new role means I can dedicate time to ensure our team get the support they need to continue to deliver outstanding work making it possible for more and more people to be physically and socially active.”
Sport for Confidence places an allied health professional alongside a sports coach, offering sport and physical activities to a wide range of needs and abilities.
